“I’ve been at New Life Community Services for about five months now. Since I’ve been here I have both realized and accomplished things I would have never thought possible before I came to New Life. I have been attending Cabrillo College and maintaining at least a 3.5 grade point average while still holding down a job. I would have never even tried something like this before coming here. I have a great deal of gratitude towards New Life and appreciate the help the staff has provided. “ – 31 year old Man.
“New Life has been instrumental to saving my life from drug addiction. I have learned a new way of life in recovery. Not only did New Life help me, they also took in my son. Being a single dad, this is the only place I could find in California that will take in fathers in treatment with children. I am very grateful to New Life for helping me and my son. “- 46 year old man with a child.
” New Life has given hope and stability to my sons and me and brought us closer. New Life is teaching my family how to live life on life’s terms, and it’s giving me the strength and courage to go on. I’ve been here twice. I am here this time because I had a spouse who was actively using drugs and alcohol and he was very abusive to us. It was hard and I relapsed. But I used the tools I learned while I was here for the first time and I called and asked for help. New Life welcomed me with open arms and told me to come back. They loved me until I was able to love myself again. This is a place filled with recovery, support and a very good education.” – 31 year old Woman with two children.
“I’m an alcoholic and drug addict. I want to say that my arrival at New Life Community Services has liberated me from much of the past. A past full of problems and rhetoric in reference to my addiction. But since arriving at NLCS, I have learned that the past can be left behind and with guidance here I now start a new life, putting aside the insanity of addiction. Thank you to NLCS I now continue the road to a happy destiny. And last but not least, thanks to my God. ” – 50 year old man
“I’ve been in the program for 3 and half months now. I have learned a lot here at New Life. I have a good job, I have my children with me, I have found a new freedom. The hardest thing here for me is learning about myself and my character defects and working on Step 3, surrendering my will to God on a daily basis. But I no longer have an obsession to use and drink everyday. I have been accountable for my time and learning more every day about myself and my disease. The program here really works. With the help of God, I will continue my journey through life without the use of Drugs and Alcohol. I am very grateful for New Life and what it’s done for me and my family. “- 32 year old woman with three children.
“I am 41 years old and I’ve been trying to get clean for about 10 years. This is my sixth residential drug program. I’ve made more progress in 4 months at New Life Community Services than in any other program. The staff and clients have been very helpful in my recovery. In July I started classes at SST Networking to be an A+ Certified PC Technician / Cisco Certified Network Administrator. This is something I have always wanted to do! There is a lot of love, support and recovery here at New Life, and I like the non-threatening, family atmosphere approach. I am very grateful to New Life for all the good things that are happening for me today.” - 41 year old woman.
